Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Covered Two Handled Vase

Kangxi period, AD 1662-1722

Description

Based upon a European silver form, yet decorated in Middle Eastern style with intricate arabesque designs and flowers, all beautifully painted in vibrant underglaze blue.  A rare type, particularly with its original cover.
Height: 12 ¼ inches (31 cm.)
